Communion with WATER? What's the point?

Had it that way once at a big youth conference I went to. Didn't like that method too much, but it made sense with a crowd of 5,000+ teens who had been camping all week. Doesn't make much sense in other venues.
OH! Oops! WaFer ... looked like a 't' to me. Uuuummm ... I think I've actually had communion with the bread and wine together;-)But served in a MUCH more appropriate way.
I will say, Mike that it does make a lot of practical sense to do it that way with a big crowd. Especially where Communion is understood to be merely a symbolic gesture.
